DR. MAURI HEESCH

Brandon, South Dakota

Originally from Mitchell, SD, Dr. Heesch comes from a long line of dentists in her family, and she is proud to be a fourth-generation dentist. After earning her undergraduate degree from Augustana University, she attended the Creighton University School of Dentistry and ended up graduating on the 100th anniversary of her great-grandfather doing the same!

Following dental school, Dr. Heesch joined the US Army and served at Ft. Riley in Kansas as a dentist for four years. She then worked at a private family practice in Nebraska. Over the course of her career, Dr. Heesch has taken several hours of continuing education focused on subjects such as cosmetic dentistry, comprehensive dentistry, and sleep medicine. She has even completed the Mastery Program through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, and today, she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Heesch and her husband (a professor of Exercise Science at Augustana University) have a young son and daughter, and they are eager to be closer to family now that they are based in South Dakota again.
